Happening Now Through August 30: Public Comment Period on Asheville/Buncombe 100 Percent Renewable Energy Draft Plan

City of Asheville Staff is working with Buncombe County Staff to engage a consultant to develop a road map to implement City Council’s 100% Renewable Energy goal referenced in Resolution 18-279 and Buncombe County Resolution 17-12-06.

Have questions? Stop by the drop-in information sessions at Stephens-Lee Recreation Center at 30 George Washington Carver Ave. on Thursday, August 22 from 8:00 to 10:00 AM or from 4:00 to 6:00 PM to speak with City and County Staff.

Can’t make it to the drop-in sessions? You can review the report and provide your comments on Open City Hall from August 12 to August 30, 2019.

There will also be a presentation on the draft plan at the next Sustainability Advisory Committee on Energy and the Environment (SACEE) meeting which is on August 21 at 3:30 PM in the First Floor North Conference Room in City Hall. This meeting and all SACEE meetings are open to the public.
